Target Audience
CRNP, CRNA, CNM, PA-C, and Physician.
Learning Objectives
1. Understand bystander effect and reason to become an UPSTANDER to counter injustice in the workplace.
2. Understand most recent data on implicit bias and how results found that bias negatively impacts patient care, leading to greater health disparities.
3. Learn definitions of explicit and implicit bias, types of microaggressions, and allyship in order to better comprehend systemic racism.
4. Learn how to mitigate individual bias and practice IQEE framework to improve patient health outcomes and fostering a more diverse, inclusive, and equitable environment.
