With the addition of neurointervention at Harrisburg hospital, aSAH patients will now be cared for by the staff. This presentation’s purpose is to give a background on this disease state including epidemiology, pathophysiology, and treatment to ensure that our staff is comfortable in taking care of these patients.

Objective #1: Describe clinical presentation and diagnostic studies available to identify aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH).

Objective #2: Recognize scales for assessing severity and risk of vasospasm after aSAH.

Objective #3: Analyze interventions to prevent rebleeding after aSAH.

Objective #4: Design a plan to treat cerebral vasospasm after aSAH.
