COE Treatment Courts July 28, 2021
The activity will give the COE teams the chance to learn more about the history of the treatment courts and how improving communication to them can assist with warm handoffs, effective referrals and improved outcomes for patients with OUD/SUD.

- Brief overview – purpose of Opioid Intervention Court and Treatment Courts; expectations for participants in court programs and how those may be similar or different from expectations in other counties’ programs.
- Discussion of how to find out who is the treatment court judge for your county and explanation how the application process works
- Information that is needed to facilitate referrals from treatment courts to COEs or from COEs to treatment courts
- Group Discussion: How COEs have interacted with treatment courts to date
- Questions and Discussion
