2026 TiPS Behavioral Health and Pediatric Primary Care Fall Virtual Conference- A Focus on Disordered Eating
Children's TiPS is a Pennsylvania HealthChoices program designed to increase the availability of child psychiatry consultation to pediatric primary care providers. Children’s TIPS is funded by HealthChoices (Pennsylvania’s Medical Assistance Program, or Medicaid), Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and UPMC HealthPlan to provide telephonic and real-time virtual assessments for youth with Medicaid, CHIP, and UPMC insurance, living in the Northwest and Southwest HealthChoice Zones. Children’s TiPS is hopeful to expand child and adolescent services to include all insurances soon.
Target Audience
Pediatric Primary Care Physicians, Family Practice Physicians, and Advanced Practice Providers (PA, DNP, CRNP), and Behavioral Health Providers working in a primary care office who practice in the northwestern, and southwestern PA counties.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of the program, participants will be able to:
- Discuss how to utilize Children’s TiPS for psychiatric consultation
- Describe different types of eating disorders that are present in the pediatric population
- Discuss methods of managing youth presenting to primary care with concerns for disordered eating
- Discuss how and when to collaborate with outside professionals when caring for youth with eating disorders

Other Professionals
Other professionals are awarded .40 Continuing Education Units (CEU's). One CEU is equal to 10 contact hours. Peer Specialists: This program fulfills requirements for Certified Peer Specialist continuing education.
- NBCC and General CEU – Participants will be awarded continuing education contact hour(s) certificate four to six weeks post-conference via e-mail. Please keep these certificates in a safe place. Replacements will cost $30.
- CME, AAPA, ANCC, CRNP, PA, and LSW/LCSW/LPC/LMFT certificates will be issued from the CCEHS registration site.
- We request that evaluations are completed and/or certificates are requested via https://cce.upmc.com within a month of the conference. Please be aware that the program evaluation will be closed, and we will no longer process certificates if they are requested a year or more after the conference
