Target Audience

Learning Objectives
Identify available airway‑management resources and support personnel within the clinical environment.
Discuss the importance of activating additional resources when managing a difficult airway and recognize situations in which early assistance improves patient safety.
Demonstrate effective and aggressive suction techniques for intubating patients with gastrointestinal or variceal bleeding.
Discuss strategies to mitigate aspiration risk and manage unintended emesis during airway management.
Explain and apply alternative patient‑positioning strategies to optimize anatomical visualization during laryngoscopy.
Demonstrate the use of the 3‑3‑2 rule, LEMON assessment, and other standardized pre‑intubation airway assessment tools to predict the difficulty of airway management.
