Upon completion of this educational activity, the learner will be able to:

1. Become familiar with the histologic subtypes of new and emerging subtypes of renal tumors and understand the clinical significance of establishing these diagnoses.

2. Apply histologic criteria and utilize ancillary tools when navigating the differential diagnosis of a range of challenging renal cell tumors. 

3. Develop a practical diagnostic approach to renal tumors.

4. Understand areas of controversy and unresolved questions.
