Learning Objectives
APP with be able to describe the indications and contraindications of central venous cannulation.
APP will be able to recognize potential complications of CVC along with treatment and prevention.
APP will be able to describe the different sites for CVC, including inherent risks, benefits and anatomy.
APP will be able to describe alternatives to CVC APP will be able to utilize adjuncts to CVC such as ultrasound and manometry
APP will be able to demonstrate the use of the five protective barriers and proper sterile preparations for insertion of CVC.
APP will be able to insert a CVC in the Internal jugular, subclavian and femoral veins.
