Pediatric End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium
The Pediatric End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) is a national initiative to improve end-of-life (EOL) care. The curriculum has been developed to provide EOL education to healthcare providers, which translates into excellent care for pediatric patients and their families.
Nurses are often uncomfortable providing end-of-life care and bereavement to pediatric patients and their families. Our goal is to increase knowledge and understanding of pediatric palliative care in order to increase comfortability with these particularly difficult and emotionally stressful situations.
