Pulse: Duel of the Titans: Daptomycin vs. Linezolid for VRE Bacteremia
New medications and new guidelines are constantly being released. Pharmacists need a mechanism to keep up with these new medications and guidelines.
Linezolid and daptomycin are both viable options for VRE infections. The presentation looks at potential benefits of choosing one antibiotic over the other specifically for bacteremias. This is not yet addressed in guidelines and is open to interpretation at this time. This presentation will benefit all pharmacists as it will go over current literature which may drive the treatment decision.
