For solid organ transplant recipients who wish to become pregnant, there are certain risks that must be mitigated to ensure safety for both mother and baby. Controversy exists regarding the most optimal approach to managing immunosuppression regimens during the perinatal period to promote maternal and fetal health while also preventing transplant complications. This education aims to address the current recommendations regarding pregnancy planning, monitoring of rejection during pregnancy, and breastfeeding after transplant.
