Survivorship after Cancer of the Head and Neck
The purpose of this symposium is to provide fundamental information necessary for a comprehensive approach to survivorship care of head and neck cancer patients. This symposium is intended to improve healthcare providers’ ability to provide high-quality survivorship care to the growing population of head and neck cancer survivors.
Target Audience
Professional providers, cancer survivors, primary care physicians, nurses, residents, audiologists, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, dentists, and other interested healthcare professionals.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of the course, the participant should be able to:
1. Recognize the components of high-quality head and neck cancer survivorship care.
2. Identify prevailing late and long-term effects head and neck cancer survivors’ experience.
3. Describe strategies and interventions to address the complex needs of head and neck cancer survivors.
4. Recognize new systemic therapies for head and neck cancer and potential side effects.

Cancellation
All cancellations must be in writing and sent to us via U.S. mail, e-mail, or fax. Tuition for cancellations postmarked or date stamped before May 27, 2023, will be completely refunded. From May 27-30, 2023, a $50.00 administrative fee will be assessed. No refunds will be made after May 31, 2023. “No shows” are not eligible for refunds.
The UPMC/Center for Continuing Education in the Health Sciences reserves the right to cancel this program if sufficient registrations are not received. In the case of cancellation, the department will fully refund registration fees.
