UPMC System Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee Quarterly Meeting
Learners will be presented with written detailed content, and live-presentations of clinical and economic information related to newly approved medications, and participate in the discussion of determination of formulary status of these medications at UPMC. Medication dosing information, clinical trials, safety profiles, and hospital acquisition costs will be discussed at the meeting. Implications and requirements of professional organization and accrediting bodies (e.g. The Joint Commission, Food and Drug Administration) will also be overviewed as they pertain to drug policy decisions made at the meeting.
