The bariatric surgical population require unique post-operative care and considerations related to mobility, diet, pain control, and complications.
As an accredited Bariatric Surgery program, it is important for nursing staff to receive education specific to bariatric surgery to provide safe and quality care this patient population. With the onboarding of many new staff, they need to have education on the types of bariatric surgeries, post-operative care and dietary education.
